Lee Stone leaving for Jr. A

The Nanaimo Buccaneers are proud to announce that General Manager and Head Coach Lee Stone has accepted a Junior A position in Red Lake as General Manager and Head Coach of the Miners.

“This is a bittersweet moment. I knew the risk in hiring Lee was that he was currently seeking Junior A opportunities, and I couldn’t be more happy for him as he has worked incredibly hard to achieve this,” said Tali Campbell, Co-Owner of the Nanaimo Buccaneers. “Although Lee’s time with the Buccaneers was short lived he has already made a positive impact on our program. On behalf of Nicole and I, we want to wish Lee the very best!”

“I can’t thank Nicole and Tali enough for their understanding and support with this move. They have been incredible to work with and I appreciate their help in making this happen. I strongly believe the Buccaneers are on the path to restoring the organizations best days and I will be cheering the boys at the Pirate Ship on from afar!”

Stone will continue working with the Buccaneers until the transition is complete. Meanwhile, Tali Campbell will assume all General Manager duties in the interim.
