Bucs Strike First — Storm Strikes Back

The Nanaimo Buccaneers opened strong in Campbell River, jumping out to a 1-0 lead after the first period on Nate Barclay’s first goal of the season — a power play marker.

The second period proved costly as the Storm erupted for six goals, chasing Bucs starter Aaron Pichette after three. Despite the setback, the Buccaneers showed fight, battling back to tie the game 3-3 on goals from Williamson (1st) and Gauthier (3rd).

Campbell River regained momentum late in the frame, taking a 6-3 lead into the third and adding one more for a 7-3 final.

Final Score: Campbell River Storm 7 – Nanaimo Buccaneers 3
