The People Who Make Things Happen

Coming from Germany, Nicole decided to come to Canada in order to pursue her dream of owning a hockey team.
Brandenburg intends to be a long-term owner and said she has the required finances to provide continued stability to the organization.
Nicole becomes the fourth owner of the Buccaneers, which was established as a model franchise immediately following its inception as an expansion team ahead of the 2012/13 season.

Campbell, 28 years old has been a Nanaimo resident since he was three-years old and has always been a supporter of the Nanaimo Buccaneers dating back to its inaugural season in which he attended the first ever game.
“I am really excited to be joining Nicole and helping the Buccaneers out however I can. This city and this sport have given me so much and I wanted to find a way to give back to both and I feel this is the best way,” said Tali Campbell “Although I am now fulltime in Coquitlam, which will continue, I do own a house in Nanaimo, my family lives in Nanaimo and I still travel back a lot. Nanaimo will always be home to me.”
He recalls the many great memories of watching the Buccaneers over the last several years but also knows it has hit hard times “With no disrespect to previous owners, I want to bring this club back to the days when Brenda and Phil Levesque owned it. The team was doing well on-and-off the ice, and that is my goal coming in as a minority owner, to follow in their footsteps.”
