The Nanaimo Buccaneers took a modest winning streak on the road to Victoria to face the Cougars.
Porter Williamson (5th) opened the scoring for Nanaimo in the first period, but the teams went to the dressing room tied 1–1 after one.
In the second period, Koen Gauthier netted his 9th of the season, and Jack Barrett added his 4th, giving the Bucs a 3–2 lead after forty minutes.
