The Nanaimo Buccaneers are proud to announce that defenceman Ethan Nordli has committed to the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) for the 2026-2027 season.
A hometown product from Nanaimo, BC, Ethan was a cornerstone of the Buccaneers’ blue line throughout the 2025-2026 campaign. Standing at 6’5″, Ethan combined size, skill, and a strong work ethic to become one of the team’s most dependable players. His leadership, dedication, and commitment to improving his game every day earned the respect of teammates, coaches, and fans alike.
Ethan played a key role in helping the Buccaneers capture the North Division title and advance to the VIJHL Championship Series. His ability to contribute in all situations and compete at a high level made him an important part of the organization’s success.
