The Bucs delivered a memorable Parents Night victory, skating to a 5–3 win over the Campbell River Storm while outshooting their opponents 33–23.
Nanaimo jumped out fast with goals from Dreyton Heyward (4th) and Jaxin Karst (9th), before Campbell River answered twice to send the teams to the room tied 2–2 after one.
The second period belonged to rookie sensation Koen Gauthier, who put on a highlight-reel performance with his 10th and 11th goals of the season. Zack Spafford (2nd) added the eventual game-winner in what was arguably his strongest outing of the year in a Bucs jersey.
Campbell River scored the lone goal of the third and held a 10–5 shot advantage, but veteran goaltender Aaron Pichette shut the door when it mattered most, locking down the win.
Next up, the Bucs travel to Oceanside for a Highway Rivalry matchup on Saturday, November 15th.
