The VIJHL’s Nanaimo Buccaneers emerged victorious on Saturday night, against their division counterpart Port Alberni Bombers, winning 4-1.
The game was played at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.

The Buccaneers’ goals were scored by:
Ethan Nordli (1) assisted by Madden Cruickshank (3) on the power play at 9:13 1st period
Kai Verbrugge (1) assisted by Reese Wilcox (1) at 0:40 of the 2nd period
Jaxin Karst (2) assisted by Koen Gauthier (1) at 15:25 of the 2nd period
Ryan Christenson (1) assisted by Lukas Needham (2) on an empty net goal at 19:28 of the 3rd period
The Bombers’ lone goal was scored by Joel Dorn (2) assisted by Kaydin Halladay (3) and Malik Oliva (3) at 7:54 of the 1st period.
