It was a big week for the Nanaimo Buccaneers, with two players recognized in the VIJHL’s Week 20 Stars.
Nate Barclay was named Defenseman of the Week after a strong two-game stretch, recording 2 goals and 1 assist while leading the Bucs on both sides of the puck.
In the crease, Aaron Pichette earned Goaltender of the Week, posting two wins, an incredible 0.50 GAA, and a .982 save percentage—one of his sharpest performances this season.
A strong showing from two of Nanaimo’s core players as the Buccaneers continue their push forward.
