The Nanaimo Buccaneers battled to a 4-3 overtime victory over the Comox Valley Glacier Kings to even the North Division Final series 1-1.
First star Dylan Lazaroff scored twice, including the game-winner at 5:02 of overtime, to lift the Bucs in front of a packed crowd in Comox. Nanaimo also received goals from Jaxin Karst and Nate Barclay, while Rhys Wilcox added two assists in the win.
Goaltender Aaron Pichette made 29 saves to secure the victory.
Game 3 goes Tuesday night in Nanaimo with puck drop set for 7:05 PM at the NIC.
