The Nanaimo Buccaneers turned in a strong all-around performance Saturday night, defeating the Comox Valley Glacier Kings 5–1 at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.
Tristen Bailey led the way with a dominant outing, scoring twice and adding an assist to earn first-star honours. Nanaimo set the tone early and never looked back, holding 1–0 and 3–1 leads through the opening two periods.
Nate Barclay (second star), Ethan Nordli, and Lukas Needham—who sealed the win with an empty-netter—rounded out the scoring for the Bucs.
Between the pipes, Aaron Pichette was steady and composed, stopping 33 of 34 shots to backstop Nanaimo to the road victory.
With the win, Nanaimo improves to 22-10-1 on the season and continues to build momentum as the North Division playoff race tightens.
Go Bucs! 🏴☠️
