Bucs Drop Holiday Matinee 4-0 to Comox

The Nanaimo Buccaneers dropped a 4–0 decision to the Comox Valley Glacier Kings in their Holiday Matinee matchup.

Coming off an emotional 3–2 overtime win in Saanich on Friday, the Bucs couldn’t find their rhythm and were outplayed through all three periods. Comox jumped out to a 2–0 lead after the first and extended it to 4–0 by the end of the second, controlling the pace and limiting Nanaimo’s opportunities.

The Buccaneers struggled to generate pushback and were unable to establish any sustained offensive pressure against a disciplined Glacier Kings defensive core.

Nanaimo now turns its focus to a tough road test against the high-flying Peninsula Panthers on Friday before returning home Sunday to host the Campbell River Storm.

A special 20-year-old presentation will take place prior to Sunday’s puck drop at 3:15 PM.

Time to regroup and respond.
