BUCS POUR IT ON AT HOME IN 6–2 WIN OVER KRAKEN πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ

A dominant performance on home ice saw the Nanaimo Buccaneers skate away with a 6–2 victory over Lake Cowichan in front of 225 fans at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

Dylan Lazaroff led the charge with a three-point night, including two goals, pacing the Buccaneers’ offence in a statement win. After a 1–1 tie through the opening period, Nanaimo found another gear in the second, striking twice to take control with a 3–1 lead heading into the final frame. The Bucs then added three more goals in the third to seal the victory.

Additional scoring came from Tristen Bailey, Rhys Wilcox, Madden Cruickshank and Ethan Nordli, showcasing the team’s depth and balanced attack. Kane Law contributed three assists in a strong all-around effort, while goaltender Tanner Ferrill was steady between the pipes, turning aside 22 shots to secure the win.

With the victory, Nanaimo improves to 29-11-2 (60 points), opening up a nine-point cushion atop the North Division β€” with a game in hand β€” as the push toward playoffs continues.

The Buccaneers are back in action tonight on the road against Saanich, with puck drop set for 6:30 pm.
