The Nanaimo Buccaneers toppled the North Division–leading Campbell River Storm 4–1 Thursday night, backed by an exceptional performance from veteran goaltender Aaron Pichette, who stopped 36 shots en route to first-star honours.

Rookie Madden Cruickshank led the way offensively with two goals — his 8th and 9th of the season — including a late empty-netter. Fellow rookies Lukas Needham (5th) and Rhys Wilcox (2nd) also found the back of the net in the convincing victory.

Next up, the Bucs host the league-leading Peninsula Panthers in a Sunday 3:15 PM matinee tilt at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

Come on out to pack the rink and cheer on the Bucs to another big win!
