It was a big week for the Nanaimo Buccaneers in the VIJHL! Veteran goaltender Aaron Pichette was named Goaltender of the Week after back-to-back wins over Port Alberni and Kerry Park, posting a stellar .976 save percentage in two starts.

Meanwhile, rookie defenseman Nate Barclay capped off a strong October by earning Rookie of the Month honours. Barclay recorded 3 goals and 7 assists for 10 points in 9 games throughout October, solidifying his presence on the Bucs’ blue line.
