Nanaimo Secures Victory Over Port Alberni

First star Jack Barrett powered the Nanaimo Buccaneers to a 5–3 home-ice victory with a standout performance, scoring two goals and adding an assist to lead the way in front of 265 fans at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

Nanaimo (33-12-2 for 68 points, first in the North Division) controlled the game with period leads of 2–0 and 4–1. Additional Buccaneers goals came from Casey Rutland, Dreyton Hayward, and Rhys Wilcox, while third star Kai Verbrugge contributed with two assists.

Between the pipes, goaltender Aaron Pichette turned aside 27 shots to secure another strong win for the division leaders.

Next up, the Buccaneers will face the Oceanside Generals in their final regular season matchup, hitting the road for a 7:00pm puck drop on February 28th.
