The Nanaimo Buccaneers came through with a massive 5-2 road win over Comox Valley, evening up the North Division Final at two games apiece.
Hunter Yanick led the charge with a hat trick performance, setting the tone early as the Bucs never trailed. Boston Cripps and Captain Kai Verbrugge added to the scoreboard, while Curtis Freeman dished out three assists and Rhys Wilcox chipped in with two helpers.
Between the pipes, Aaron Pichette stood tall with 33 saves to secure the win.
The Bucs jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first and carried control the rest of the way in a statement performance on the road.
